Since founding the firm that bears his name in 1954, Howard J. Rubenstein has served as a valued counselor to some of the world's most influential corporations, organizations and opinion leaders. Now one of the nation's largest independent public relations agencies, Rubenstein Associates, Inc. is recognized for its round-the-clock representation of hundreds of highly influential clients.

In addition to managing the day-to-day activities of his firm, Mr. Rubenstein is involved in numerous civic and philanthropic organizations. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Association for a Better New York, which he helped to found; he is a Trustee of the Police Athletic League, the Central Park Conservancy, the Inner City Scholarship Fund of the Archdiocese of New York and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In addition, he serves on the boards of the Partnership for New York City and Federal Law Enforcement Foundation and is a co-founder and vice-chairman of the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. He has served on the Mayor's Committee on Business & Economic Development for New York City Mayors Abraham Beame, David Dinkins and Rudy Giuliani and was a consultant to the United States Foreign Claims Settlement Commission. As an attorney, he was assistant counsel to the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee.
