Charles Merinoff

Born in New York City, Charles Merinoff graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1980 with a degree in Finance & Marketing. He joined Charmer Industries shortly thereafter starting as a driver’s helper, and working his way through the operations, purchasing and sales departments. In 1991 he was promoted to President of Charmer Industries, Inc., and in 2000 he became Chairman of the Board. In January of 2002, Mr. Merinoff was named Vice Chairman and CEO of the Charmer Sunbelt Group – one of the nations leading distributors of fine wines, spirits, beer and bottled water presently operating as a group of affiliated, independent companies in fifteen states.

He has been a member of the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation since 1999 and is currently the Assistant Treasurer and an active member of their Board of Directors. Mr. Merinoff also devotes time to various other charities and community causes. After six years on the Advisory Board of the Make-A-Wish-Foundation, he was named to their Board of Directors in 2004. Mr. Merinoff organizes and hosts their highly successful annual Wine Tasting and Auction.

Charles has served as Co-Chairman for the Wine and Spirits Division of United Cerebral Palsy, the American Cancer Society and the Boys Town of Italy. In the past he was a “Big Brother” to mentally retarded children with the Association for the Help of Retarded Children. He has served on several committees ranging from the American Cancer Society/Dr. Louis Berger Memorial Award, The National Conference of Christians and Jews, Brandeis University and the United Jewish Appeal Federation of NY.

Mr. Merinoff resides in Haworth, New Jersey with his wife, Leigh, daughter Leslie and son Andrew.
