Ronald O. Perelman is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc., a diversified holding company with interests in consumer products, entertainment, financial services, biotechnology and gaming. Among the principal interests of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc. are: Revlon, Inc., the world’s most famous brand name in cosmetics and personal care products; Panavision Inc, the leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of high-precision camera and lighting systems for the motion picture and television industries; Allied Security, Inc. the largest independent provider of contract security services; and AM General, the designer and manufacturer of Hummer and Humvee vehicles for the consumer market and the military.

In addition to his extensive business interests, Mr. Perelman is an active philanthropist who believes powerful results can be achieved when financial resources are leveraged with human resolve. He is the founder of the Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program, a center for leading edge research into the causes and treatment of breast and ovarian cancer. The staff of the Revlon/UCLA Program conducted the discovery research and initial clinical trials leading to the development of Herceptin, the first genetically based treatment for a major cancer to be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. Mr. Perelman also established the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at New York University Medical Center.

Mr. Perelman holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Wharton School, lives in New York City and is married and the father of six children.
